Bronze sculptor Ann Ayres is largely self-taught, and was introduced to the world of sculpture by Fort Worth artist James Spurlock. She joined CTAA in 2013 after relocating to Bridgeport, and after giving a presentation to the group on the bronze sculpture process and her work, which focuses on the "Old West." Ann strives to capture the life and times of cowgirls and cowboys of years past in her artwork. She has won numerous awards and honors, and has exhibited in a number of different museums and galleries, including the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City and the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center. Her work can be found in the Western Heritage Gallery in Denton, Texas, as well as in her studio gallery in Bridgeport. Her website is: www.annayresbronzes.com.
