Ray has been carving and sculpting in wood for about fifteen years, and has tried about every type of carving from realism to caracature. He has taught woodcarving and sculpting for over six years in Wichita Falls, and has helped form a woodcarving association called "Top of Texas Woodcarvers' Association" in Wichita Falls.
Ray also works in oil, watercolor, pen & ink and grafite. His work has been on display at the Kemp Center for the Arts, the IMPEC Center and the Museum of Art at MSU. He has sold his art in Texas and Kansas.
