February 2018 Artist of the Month"
Angela White

Angela's watercolor painting on yupo paper in a tryptich format shows the spontaneity of the medium in an exciting way.  Angela joined the CTAA in 2018 and works in watercolor, oil, and acrylic.

April 2018 "Artist of the Month"
Debbie Malone

Debbie's fused glass sculpture "Spring" was the selection for April (we did not have an "Artist of the Month" winner for March). Debbie enjoys working in acrylics, stained glass, and in fused glass, where she often "pushes the envelope" on what she can do to manipulate glass.  Debbie also teaches art, both at her studio and gallery in Chico, as well as at The Kemp Center in Wichita Falls.  She has been a member of the CTAA since 2009, and is also President of the Texas Glass Artists Association.

May 2018 "Artist of the Month"
Gale Cochran-Smith

Gale's pastel piece of a little girl walking on the beach was only the sixth pastel she had ever done. Thanks to an intensive pastel workshop conducted by Jan Thompson, Gale now considers pastels one of her favorite media!  Gale joined the CTAA in 2007 and has served as an officer since 2008. August 2018 "Artist of the Month"
Jan Reid

Jan's acrylic painting "Clouds of Redemption" was the selection for August (we did not have an "Artist of the Month" awarded for June and July as both meetings were field trips). Jan has been painting in acrylics for many years, and is well known locally for her sculpted and embellished crosses painted in acrylics. Previously a member since 2010, Jan has rejoined us after a brief hiatus.

October 2018 "Artist of the Month"
Rita Rae Dyer

Rita's oil painting titled "Heaven's Meadow" was the selection for October (we did not have an "Artist of the Month" awarded for September's meeting as it was a field trip).  Rita has been painting for a number of years, and has been a member since 2013.

November 2018 "Artist of the Month"
Jennifer Hammer

Jennifer's pastel painting "Texas Tea Party" was the selection for November as well as earned Best of Show at the CTAA Juried Art Show and the Patrons' Award at the Breckenridge Juried Art Show. Jennifer paints in pastels as well as in watercolors, as well as dabbles in gellie printing, acrylic pours, quilting, and other art media.
