About us
The Chisholm Trail Art Association is a group of artists who have banded together for the purpose of promoting the visual arts in Montague County, Texas, and the surrounding area through art education, exhibition, sales and fellowship, thereby enriching and enhancing the quality of life for both artists and non-artists alike.
OUR MEMBERS OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES
Dues are used to defray the cost of out-of-pocket speakers and presenters, and a number of other worthwhile things that are determined by a vote of the membership. Annual Adult Membership dues of $35.00 for both Artists and Patrons of the Arts are due each year (or prior to the third attended meeting). Family Memberships are available for $50 each year.
Paid membership entitles each member to display and sell artwork at all local sanctioned CTAA shows and events without paying any additional entry fee or commission, a discounted entry fee at all National sponsored CTAA shows, and the ability to have their own art page on our website, free-of-charge.

our meetings
sThe Membership encourages visual artists, art educators, and those who love art but who might not yet call themselves artists, to join them on the second Thursday of each month. Locations for each meeting are announced in advance of each meeting, but generally take place in the Chisholm Trail Room at Wellington State Bank in Bowie, Texas. Doors are open at 5:30pm for each meeting, which begins promptly at 6:00pm, and is followed at 6:30pm by an art presentation and/or demonstration from an artist who specializes in a particular medium, subject or style - or from an individual working in the field of art - with plenty of time to ask questions.
