Jennifer Hammer majored in Commercial Art with an interest in fashion illustration at West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, after taking private lessons for several years.  After a long hiatus, she decided to get back into art in 2010 and signed up for a class offered by Jan Thompson, one of Colorado's premier pastel artists.  Jennifer found a new love of pastels as an art medium.  She joined the CTAA in 2012.  Her artwork has received many awards:  Best of Theme “Lietzke’s Lincoln” &  1st Place “Gloried Daze” 2013 Nocona Vicari Art Show,  Best of Show & People’s Choice “Heart of the Trail” 2017 CTAA National Juried Art Show & Sale, Best of Show “Texas Tea Party” 2018 CTAA National Juried Art Show & Sale, Patron’s Award “Heart of the Trail” 2018 Breckenridge National Juried Art Show.  More of her work can be seen on her website:  www.jenniferhammerfineart.com.
