A native of Bowie, Judy Gelfert enjoyed a long career in the airline industry, flying to exotic locations around the world.  Now that she has a family, she relives and captures many of those locales in her oil paintings.  Judy paints in a loose, impressionistic style.  She has exhibited work on a national level and is represented by the Good Art Company in Fredricksburg as well as the Marta Stafford Fine Art Gallery in Marble Falls.  She has developed a unique limited-palette form of painting, and loves teaching it to others.  Judy gives painting workshops in both Arlington and Bowie.  Her work can also be seen on her website:  www.judygelfert.com.
