Karen Kennedy Chatham is a realist and abstract painter. She specializes the painting wild mustang horses and does extensive research and photography of the wild mustang herds of Wyoming as subject matter for her paintings. She also loves painting Texas longhorns, cowboys, Native American culture, landscapes and radiant florals. Karen utilizes diverse media in her work, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels. She recently has been exploring new abstract and semi-abstract paintings that are radiant in color, rich in spirit, and full of positive emotion.
She won 2nd place at the Texas Visual Artists Association Open Call Show in 2018 and 1st place for Best of Show and People's Choice Art Show at the Paradise, Texas Main Street Festival. She is a member of the CTAA and the National Association of Christian Prophetic Artists. She has a gallery presence at Adobe Art Gallery in Fort Worth and Studio 9 in Bridgeport.
