James Spurlock is a teacher as well as an artist who passes on his experience in art to many seminar and private students across the country. As a bronze sculptor, he has not limited himself to just life-sized memorial busts but continues to sculpt bronzes that portray what life means to him and to the clients he 'speaks' for.
A multi-talented artist, Spurlock does all types of artwork: portraits, bronze statues and fountains, landscapes and western art, and murals. He paints in 12 different mediums and sculpts in three.
A man of three cultures (Japanese, Cherokee and Irish), he says these cultural diversities have helped him stay objective when dealing with his art - or with life in general. His work can be seen on his website: www.jamesrspurlock.com
