Ronda Ivy taught art for eleven years at Rider High School in Wichita Falls before she got an inspired idea to open up her own studio, art academy and coffee shop. "One of the main reasons I left Rider was so I could teach in my own atmosphere with my own curriculum and manage my own students' responsibilities and discipline" Ivy presently teaches three basic art classes at her studio. One class is for 2 to 4 year olds and the other classes are for adults. Her art program for both kids and adults is cross-curriculum: math, geography, art history, vocabulary and more. She works with students in a variety of media ranging from pencil to acrylic and pastel to pen and ink and colored pencils, and even printmaking.
In addition to teaching art, Ronda's studio consists of her own artwork in acrylic, oil, and mixed media, as well as photography, printmaking and calligraphy. More information about Ronda's program and art can be found on her Blog.
